Hey everyone, I want to share a deeply personal journey that my two girls and I have been on for the past few years. As a single mother, providing a stable home has always been my priority, but our path hasn’t been easy.

We lived in East Helena for over five years, with the hope of eventually purchasing our home. I worked tirelessly to improve my credit, completed the First Time Homebuyers class, and took every step I could to secure a future for my daughters. But despite our efforts, we were told to move out in the middle of winter, with no refund on the rent I had prepaid. We were left with no place to go in the midst of a housing crisis.

Staying near East Helena was essential for us, not just because of my job, but because my parents help with daycare and school pickups. We had to find a way to remain close, even if it meant staying in a house we couldn’t really afford, just to buy us some time.
That’s when I discovered Habitat for Humanity. It felt like the only option left for us, a chance to build and own a home we could truly call ours. After years of uncertainty and hardship, the thought of having a stable, permanent place for my girls to grow up brings me so much hope.

I’ve done everything in my power to give my children the best possible life, and now, thanks to Habitat, we’re finally getting ready to build our forever home! A home near family, in a community they know and love, with friends they won’t have to leave behind. This is everything I’ve worked for over the last 7 years.

I’m so grateful for this opportunity, and I can’t wait to share this journey with you all. Here’s to new beginnings and building a home filled with love, security, and countless memories.
